A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client in Swinton on a permanent basis. The business is continuing to grow, making this an exciting time to join their expanding finance team.
In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager, supporting a wide range of daily and monthly accounting tasks. Your responsibilities will include updating and reconciling bank accounts on Xero and internal systems, processing payments for both new and existing businesses, and handling additional payment requirements as they arise. You will also assist with month-end tasks such as preparing journal entries, as well as supporting payroll, bonus payments and holiday pay.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar accounting role and be AAT qualified or currently studying. A positive, flexible approach is essential, and knowledge of payroll processes would be a strong advantage.
